The publishing industry is undergoing a major transformation. Even though the results appear to be slightly encouraging (especially for the newspaper industry), when compared to European or American industries the declining trend has been going on for some years. The root to this problem lies in the growing use of the internet and increase in digital content. Another factor is the onset disappearance of the oldest generations, who represent an important part of the cliental for what the printed papers and magazines are concerned.
