This report describes the semiconductor industry in Japan, Japan’s main semiconductor manufacturers and largest suppliers of semiconductor equipment. It goes on to provide advice for European companies wishing to break into the Japanese semiconductor market, as well as a list of Japan’s better known semiconductor distributors and those that distribute semiconductor products for large foreign semiconductor manufacturers. In addition, the report also goes over the various cultural and language related obstacles to entering the Japanese semiconductor field, recommending that European companies should be particularly attentive when it comes to language related problems.
