This report provides a summary of the Japanese Accounting and Taxation sectors. Its main objective is to provide EU companies with an overview of Japanese accounting practices and taxation regultions for both companies and individuals, while at the same time discussing the taxation reforms recently promposed by the cabinet of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. The report also examines various types of business establishment open to EU companies entering the Japanese market as well as the different taxation regimes they fall under.
